HERO BY CHANCE

In this series, I explore the human presence within the urban environment. I am fascinated by the dialogue between spaces that seem to exist outside of time and the details of our everyday life.
A chance figure here serves as a symbol of anonymity — a living story unfolding within the settings of a frozen city. These “heroes by chance” momentarily become the center of the composition, imbuing the forms with meaning and scale. It is an opportunity to capture a cinematic moment of beauty and solitude, transforming the mundane into the meaningful.
PERCEIVING THE CONSTANT

At the core of this project lies an exploration of a paradox: while the form and scale of the object remain unchanged, its symbolic meaning shifts radically. By using the shape of a house as a constant, I invite the viewer to focus on material as the primary context.
In this series, the material is not merely a shell but a trigger for personal experience. Depending on one’s own sensory background and perspective, the same volume can be perceived as a monumental monolith, a fragile shelter, or a cold barrier. This is a study of where the physical properties of matter end and our subjective perception of space begins.

This project emerged as a search for points of connection with a new reality following my relocation. It was important for me not merely to record the appearance of Podgorica, but to “tune” my vision to discover beauty within its laconic and stark forms.
The core of the method lies in working with color as a dominant element. By using colored paper as a background, I constructed scenes where even dense layers of colored pencil allow the primary tonality of the sheet to remain visible. This is an exploration of how color and light can transform the perception of forms, turning everyday urban motifs into a space for a personal dialogue with the location.
